ApplePie Clothing was founded by Curt Harris, an American apparel entrepreneur and founder of Trick Threads, a custom screen-printing and embroidery company based in Gypsum, Colorado.

With more than a decade of experience in the apparel industry, Curt combined his professional background in garment decoration, graphic design, and branded merchandise with his passion for American nostalgia.

The result was ApplePie Clothing, an independent clothing brand celebrating the people, places, products, and experiences that made growing up in America unforgettable.

Growing Up in America

Born in the late 1970s, Curt grew up in Arkansas during an era of Saturday morning cartoons, BMX bikes, video arcades, cassette tapes, classic cars, and neighborhood adventures.

It was a time when kids rode their bikes until the streetlights came on, families piled into station wagons for summer road trips, and Friday nights meant football games, pizza parlors, or a trip to the video rental store.

American culture was filled with bold colors, unforgettable graphics, iconic advertising, and a sense of fun that seemed to be everywhere.

From neighborhood baseball games and roadside diners to classic television commercials and the music playing on the radio, those experiences became the inspiration behind ApplePie Clothing.

Building Trick Threads: A Career in Custom Apparel

In 2014, Curt founded Trick Threads, a professional screen-printing and embroidery business headquartered in Gypsum, Colorado, in the heart of the Vail Valley.

What began as an entrepreneurial venture developed into a custom apparel business serving local companies, restaurants, organizations, sports teams, and individuals throughout Eagle County and surrounding Colorado communities.

Trick Threads specializes in custom screen-printed T-shirts and apparel, professional embroidery for hats, polos, jackets, and uniforms, custom company clothing and branded workwear, promotional merchandise, event apparel, and custom clothing for restaurants, businesses, schools, and organizations.

Over the years, Curt gained extensive experience in garment quality, fabric selection, artwork preparation, screen-printing techniques, embroidery, and apparel production.

Running a professional printing and embroidery operation also provided valuable insight into what makes a great T-shirt: the right fabric, a comfortable fit, quality construction, and artwork that people actually want to wear.

That knowledge eventually became an important part of ApplePie Clothing's foundation.

After years of working in the custom apparel industry, Curt wanted to create something of his own.
